Dr. Southwick has a professional background that is unsurpassed. He is well versed in a wide variety of settings including hospital, surgical, independent and with a team. His education started at Kansas State University in Chemical Science with a BS in 1978; he continued on to University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1984 and performed his residency in Anesthesiology at Western Reserve Care System in Youngstown, OH through 1987.
Over the years, Dr. Southwick has been licensed to practice in nine states. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, since 1992; and a member of American Society of Anesthesiologists, since 1984. He is a member of the Missouri Society of Anesthesiologists, since1987. His interests and affiliations are numerous and highly prized.
